Data Security & Protection

Werfen has successfully completed the 2019/2020 submission of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit on 25^th March 2020.  This was updated during 2018 by the National Health Service (NHS) to replace the previous Information Governance Toolkit.

Completing the Toolkit self-assessment includes providing 56 mandatory evidence items and confirming we achieved the 42 assertions over 10 sections of the standard. This demonstrates that Werfen is meeting the National Data Guardian’s standards required by all organisations that have access to NHS patient data & systems. The ten (10) sections of the Standards include:

Achieving this Standard is critical for our customers & for Werfen to supporting our IVD and IT solutions going forward. The recertification of the ISO 27001 at the start of March 2020 demonstrates that we are firmly committed to increased customer requirements linked with data protection and data security.
