Diagned, the organisation of manufacturers and distributors of in vitro diagnostics in The Netherlands, is participating in the national Taskforce that coordinates the distribution of available diagnostic materials, in particular for the diagnosis of COVID-19.

Werfen is member of Diagned and produces  analysers  and reagents for the monitoring and treatment of  patients in the intensive care. COVID-19 is affecting the respiratory system of humans and therefore blood gas analysis is an important part in the care for these patients. Several hospitals have asked for extra blood gas analysers and we have placed extra units in special departments for the treatment of patients suffering from SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Werfen is neither producing diagnostic material for the detection of COVID-19 nor protective materials like masks and gloves needed for the protection of hospital personnel. Attached you can read the full statement of Diagned.
