Our Approach to Meeting Increased Demand

Recently, our operations team faced the challenge of increased demand for a latex-based immunoassay from one of our partners. A multi-department team including Technical Support, Manufacturing and Quality worked together to fulfil our partners’ needs: 

A critical step of the immunoassay manufacturing process was identified, and the latex-based particle sensitization process was optimized. As a result of this optimization, manufacturing lots can be increased by up to 87% while reducing the manufacturing time between 20% to 66% depending on the lot size. What’s more, the lot-to-lot variability was reduced while keeping the same product formulation, final product functionality and final product specifications.
