Webinar: Patient Blood Management Program Implementation and Updating to AABB Standards

Werfen invites you to attend our webinar focused on the importance of blood management for patients and hospitals, including the need to identify the evidence for red cell transfusion guidelines. Additionally, the advantages of American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) Patient Blood Management (PBM) accreditation and new topics covered in the AABB PBM standards will be discussed.

Claudia S. Cohn, MD, PhD
Dr. Cohn earned her PhD in Immunology and Infectious Diseases from the Johns Hopkins University (currently the Bloomberg School of Public Health) and subsequently earned her MD at Louisiana State University. After finishing her Transfusion Medicine fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Cohn joined the faculty at the University of Minnesota, in Minneapolis, where she is Medical Director of the Blood Bank, Associate Medical Director of the HLA lab and Associate Head of Labs. Dr. Cohn is the Chief Medical Officer of the AABB and Editor-in-Chief of the current edition of the AABB Technical Manual. Dr. Cohn’s major interests include hemovigilance, patient blood management, and new platelet technologies.
