About the Position
Job Summary
The Sales Applications Specialist will be responsible for sales, promotion and technical support to the customers in order to guarantee the right performance of both reagents and instruments, providing our customers with solutions that adapt to their changing needs, creating a relationship of trust that will bring value to the Company in the medium and long term.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure the Compliance with Ethical Code.
- Promote Werfen solutions and advise customers to improve lab organization.
- Focusing its actions on "Value Selling".
- Perform demonstrations and build trust in our solutions.
- Keep clients updated on new techniques, by providing product information and organizing special visits.
- Train customers and ensure the correct performance of the solutions.
- Provide troubleshooting for technical enquiries.
- Solves product incidents at a technical level in coordination with specialists from the Business Unit and the manufacturing companies.
- Installation of equipment, in coordination with the Technical Service.
- Follow up with the client looking for new opportunities for growth.
- Control the level of service offered by the different departments of the Company in the assigned accounts.
- Responsible for a budget and should look for business opportunities.
- Responsible for the technical solution of the profitability calculation
- Responsible for the technical interpretation of the tender documents and the preparation of the technical documents (in collaboration with KAM and the Business Unit).
- Organize special visits with Product Managers.

To be determined based on department needs, to include interactions such as:
- Area Manager, Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Application Specialists Manager

- Contracting Department
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
- Education: Bachelor´s Degree in Life Sciences
- Experience: Laboratory experience in molecular biology, IVD market, sales and/or marketing
- Additional Skills/Knowledge:
- Knowledge in life sciences: molecular microbiology, autoimmunity
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office and SAP)
- Fluency in English is a must, basic oral Spanish is strongly preferred.

Travel requirements:
Daily mobility in the Portuguese territory
