About the Position

Job Summary

Project Consultant trainee is responsible for driving Corporate Supply Chain projects assigned from its inception to closing. Applies knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to Project activities to meet the Project requirements. Ensure the appropriate governance and manage project phases, resources, people and scope of the project.

Leads process reengineering in the different Supply Chain areas in coordination with the corresponding Directors. Manages continuous improvement projects applying Lean and Six Sigma concepts. Develops new training tools and supports Corporate Supply Chain departments in the definition and draft of working instructions and SOP´s.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage/follow up project scope, project schedule, costs, risks and mitigation actions
  • Establish and manage a project methodology incorporating standards, processes, documentation and reporting
  • Establish metrics and KPI’s for the monitoring of the results in the different projects assigned. Provide a real-time, comprehensive, and prioritized view of projects. Track and report projects on PMO project portfolio
  • Ensure project management standards are followed
  • Support deployment of continuous improvement projects in Corporate Supply Chain, applying Lean and Six Sigma philosophy
  • Identify, lead and propose to PMO Director and Supply Chain Managers improvement projects to increase service level and reduces waste and expenses. Promote and train Supply Chain associates in Lean and Six Sigma concepts.
  • Participates in the definition of ERP training tools in collaboration with IT department.
  • Back up support to Data Management team in the areas of Material Master and Customer Master Management.
  • Coordinate building of Corporate Supply Chain procedures (SOP´s) and Work Instructions with the other Corporate Supply Chain departments and develops training tools to facilitate learning experience in the Supply Chain. department. Work with users to discover new improvements in the training support material.
  • Ensure compliance with Werfen Code of Ethics.

Networking/Key relationships

This position requires cooperating with different company departments, such as Business Units, IT, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Finance and the other team members of the Supply Chain for the implementation of the operational plans.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

Education: 4-year Degree

Experience:

  • Relevant Project Management experience.
  • Relevant experience in Operations (Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain)
  • Relevant experience managing Continuous Improvement Projects.

Additional Skills/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and tecniques. LSS Green or Black Belt Certificate is highly desirable.
  • Command knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools.  (Waterfall and Agile). Project Management Certification (PMP , PM2 or others) is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Operational principles and practices and related business functions. Ability to advise to senior management.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and use BI tools (Qlikview, PowerBI). Knowledge of statistical software packages preferred.
  • Language: English, Spanish.
