Job Summary

Product Specialist plays a key role supporting promotion and increasing the value of Werfen solutions for the business line. Within the Acute Care Marketing team he/she implements a specific marketing plan for local market and guarantees continuous support for Sales Management both in pre and post sales activities to reach company target and objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support for the launch of new products of the business line
  • Provide all necessary and up to date marketing informations and tools (es. presentation, HTA tools, ecc.) to sales department to assist them in achieving business goals
  • Create and keep up to date documentation of business line and promotional materiai (es. scientific posters, brochure, fyers).
  • Consult scientific literature regarding Werfen products and competitors ones
  • Prepare technical documentation needed for tenders or for offers
  • Design, pian, organize and facilitate training courses and/or clinical training programs both internal (for sales department) and externally (for customers and end users)
  • Collect scientific information in external events in Werfen (congresses, seminars, symposium) to identify and involve key opinion leader, collecting scientific information that reinforce the value of the product and innovative scientific trends
  • Plan, organize (in collaboration with the Communication Team), promote and actively partecipate in scientific events sponsored by Werfen (congresses, seminars, symposium) to strengthen scientific knowledge, image and establish Werfen solution as a standard of diagnostic management of the patient
  • Contribute to mantain and develop a network of Key Opinion Leaders in the areas of responsability
  • Visit customers for feedback gathering and troubleshooting of Werfen solutions
  • Manage promotional activities (es. demos) of Werfen solutions to customer and potential customers, together with the sales force.
  • In collaboration with Line Manager , design most suitable solution for complex projects in presales
  • Support Sales Specialist in the installation of new products and solutions during the launch phase
  • ·Collaborate in collecting data on competitors and market needs to improve product positioning and penetration

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in science, biotechnology, engineering or related discipline (e.g. biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, lab tecnician, etc.)
  • Experience: At least 2 years' experience in a sales or marketing position within an IVD company operating in an international context
  • Experience in a laboratory setting is mandatory, even during academic studies.
  • Knowledge of the products in the business line will be an advantage
  • IT knowledge will be an advantage
