About the Position
Job Summary
The Marketing Director is responsible for ensuring the uniformity of processes across different Business Units (BUs) and keeping the Iberia General Manager (GM) well-informed about the business’s progress. This role involves supporting and coordinating with Unit Managers, developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives, and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives. The Marketing Director will also design market access strategies, oversee health economics studies, drive clinical selling efforts, establish industry partnerships, and manage multichannel marketing campaigns to effectively reach target audiences. This position plays a crucial role in identifying common issues, providing innovative solutions, and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing activities within the organization.
Key Accountabilities
- Support and coordinate the different Business Units Managers who have under their responsibility.
- Keep the GM informed of the evolution of the different BU, including threats and opportunities generated by the IVD market.
- Together with BUMs, guarantee that all launches of new products and services are performed under a same pattern, keeping a clear identifying message of the Company.
- Secure the alignment of marketing activities of the BU with the strategic objectives of the Company.
- Collaborate with the Sales Director, AM and BUM to prepare the Budget.
- Identify common problems in the BU, offering unique solutions and looking for the simplification of processes to become more efficient and effective.
- Supervise relationships with the main represented companies of each of the Business Unit assigned.
- Design and implement market access strategies to ensure product availability and reimbursement (if apply).
- Design and oversee health economics studies to support the value proposition of the products.
- Develop and execute clinical selling strategies to effectively communicate product benefits to healthcare professionals.
- Establish partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance market positioning and drive business growth.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
- Degree in Healthcare sector, Chemistry, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is valuable.
- Extensive experience in marketing within the healthcare and IVD sectors.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Background in market access strategy, health economics studies, and clinical selling.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain partnerships with industry stakeholders.
- Experience in managing and executing multichannel marketing initiatives.
- Leadership experience, including team development and coordination of cross-functional teams.

People Manager Accountabilities:
Effectively carries out the expectations of Werfen People Managers as defined in Werfen’s Role of the Manager program. Among others this includes maintaining regular, at minimum once a month, and transparent communication with the team through effective use of formal one-on-one meetings with direct reports and team meets. Managing performance issues and conflict proactively; uses judgement in consulting with department leadership and Human Resources. Responsibility for the team´s compliance in terms of training, and fulfilment of their tasks and objectives as well as onboarding of new employees and development of the existing team.
