Job Summary

Under direction of the General Manager Colombia, lead the Clinical Sostfware Strategy for  increase customer satisfaction in Colombia through the installation, training, operation, integration of Werfen's clinical software platforms and analyzer interfaces.

Position is located in Bogota but covers projects throughout the country.

Key Accountabilities

  • Understand the BU strategies and provide integral solutions, for improve the middleware around de country.
  • Provides highly visible customer assistance through the installation, integration and operation of the different Werfen´s clinical software platforms. 
  • Align the initiatives of the Clinical Software department with Werfen's overall strategy.
  • Design integration models between our platforms and third-party software and manage their development and implementation with software suppliers. 
  • Lead the implementation and integration projects of clinical software and control the costs associated with them. 
  • Lead the development of interfaces of our different analyzers with software suppliers. 
  • Instruct clients and support personnel in the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the different platforms.
  • Control compliance with the quality objectives of the help desk. 
  • Scale headquarters problems or incidents on the clinical software platforms, as well as control the installation of updates. 
  • Support sales in acquiring new customers showing the advantages of our software platforms. 
  • Complies with all appropriate regulatory bodies, mandated policies, procedures, work instructions, and records 
  • Serves as a company liaison with customers 
  • Ensures compliance with Werfen Code of Ethics
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager Colombia

Networking/Key relationships

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

Education: BA or BS in Electronics, Computing, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology or related field. Postgraduate in related fields to information technology. (Desirable)

Experience: Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience. Leadership positions in healthcare companies.

Additional Skills/Knowledge:

  • At least basic MS Office Skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) including the ability to manipulate data and build presentations

People Manager Accountabilities:

Effectively carries out the expectations of Werfen People Managers as defined in Werfen’s Role of the Manager program. Among others this includes maintaining regular, at minimum once a month, and transparent communication with the team through effective use of formal one-on-one meetings with direct reports and team meets. Managing performance issues and conflict proactively; uses judgement in consulting with department leadership and Human Resources. Responsibility for the team´s compliance in terms of training, and fulfilment of their tasks and objectives as well as onboarding of new employees and development of the existing team.

Work Environment (US only):

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate. Must be able to detect, identify and inspect scientific data. The employee will be required to stand and/or walk up to 8 hours per day and/or sit for up to 8 hours per day.  Must be able to use hands to feel objects, including keyboard, telephone and pipettes or other lab equipment.  May need to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.  Will be required to talk and hear and have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  May occasionally have to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  The noise level in the work environment will vary but is usually moderate.  This position is very active and requires varying levels of mobility.
