About the Position

Job Summary

The Connectivity engineer installs, maintains, and develops the customer install base, working closely with hospital IT in Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg. This will mainly be performed remotely.

Key Accountabilities

  • Install and configure Werfen software solutions at customer sites.
  • Assist customers with connectivity issues related to HL7 and ASTM.
  • Escalate issues as necessary.
  • Act as a liasion and bridge builder with customer IT and LAB-departments.
  • Perform required technical training sessions.
  • Develop applications and tools as needed for the job.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Digital Solutions Director

Networking/Key relationships

Must be able to communicate well with customers and colleagues.

Able to participate in, and organize IT meetings.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

The position requires:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent;
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP/7/10;
  • Good knowledge of computer networking (LAN/WLAN, switching, DNS/DHCP, firewalls, network diagnostics, etc); and
  • Knowledge of server hardware and software, administration, and maintenance
  • Language Fluency: Dutch and English. French is a plus.

Plus:

  • Knowledge of ASTM and HL7 communication protocols
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL queries

Skills & Capabilities:

  • A mindset for customer service
  • Must be able to efficiently use MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Autonomous capacity and resolution

Travel requirements:

This position will be based in the The Netherlands.

Travel to customers in Benelux when required.

Travel to attend training/courses should be expected from time to time.
