Job Summary

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the management of New Product Development projects and other product projects with high complexity in terms of organization. The PM is responsible of managing the project teams to meet the project goals within the given scope, time, quality and budget constraints.

Key Accountabilities

• Coordinate the team throughout all project management phases, from project proposal to post-launch (6-12 months after launch)

• Ensure that all team members have the required information and resources to carry out their tasks effectively

• Lead internal project meetings and partner meetings, including preparation of agenda/meeting minutes

• Meet with individual team members to find and fix any issues

• Foster a culture based on accountability

• Lead/Prepare project charter, RACI, Risk assessment, Project plan and other project management documentation needed throughout the project.

• Prepare budget on a yearly basis and for scope changes

• Monitor and control budget throughout the project

• Be accountable for identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks and issues, and removing impediments.

• Leverage project data to inform, guide, and/or support business decisions.

• Minimize timelines and align management of co-operation tasks with partners (i.e IFUs, reagent compatibility..)

• Align OEM partners milestones with OEM milestones

• Prepare cost / time proposals for partners (assess KAM/VP Sales&marketing)

Networking/Key relationships

  • For PM process improvements: Managers/Directors/VPs at Werfen
  • Project stakeholders: Cross Functional Team members, if needed elevation of project issues to necessary level management/directors/VPs.
  • Project sponsors: KAM/VP Sales, VP R&D
  • OEM partners

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (Licenciatura) in the biological or related sciences

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-year experience in Project management, preferably in the management of diagnostics, pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device projects.

Additional Skills/Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of the general project management concepts
  • Proficiency in the use of office automation software (Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of tools that are used to manage projects such as Microsoft Project
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
