About the Position

Job Summary

The main responsibility of the Analyst I, Finance is to monitor and evaluate the day-to-day accounting and costing activities and provide accurate and data based information on company’s financial performance. The position involves overseeing accounting processes and producing financial reports, forecasts, and recommendations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, Operating Expenses, R&D Expenses, and capital expenditures.
  • Support month end closing with the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger, and account analysis.
  • Assists in the preparation of the annual budget and forecast.
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
  • Defines financial situations by completing quantitative analyses.
  • Evaluates optional plans by identifying outcomes and potential returns.
  • Values assets by appraising current condition; assessing potential.
  • Builds financial database by identifying sources of information, assembling, verifying, and backing up data.
  • Recommends financial actions by assessing options in relation to organization goals.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Networking/Key relationships

The position requires interaction with different company departments (Operations, HR, Legal & Tax, Internal Audit, RD, Sales & Marketing and other Finance departments)

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

  • Education:
    • Required: Bachelor's degree (Diplomatura) in finance, economics or related field.
    • Degree may be substituted by relevant skills and work experience.
    • Valuable: Any additional degree higher than the required
  • Experience:
  • Additional Skills/Knowledge:
    • Software: Fluency in Office Tools (Excel & Word) and SAP
    • Language: Fluency in Spanish or Catalan. Advanced knowledge of English (reading and speaking)
