Overview

Position Summary:

Responsible for purchasing materials and supplies for on-time delivery and at an optimal price to ensure effective and efficient inventory levels which support manufacturing production. Discrete production planning and scheduling of manufactured products. Partners with operations and supply chain to create production schedules which drive efficient and timely production, while maintaining desired service and inventory levels. Performs general supply chain activities and supports the operations of the manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

• Analyzes the master schedule and works with the operational team leaders to establish and prioritize an attainable production schedule• Issues and maintains work orders, assigns lot numbers and expiration dates in accordance with relevant SOP's• Creates, maintains and communicates the production schedule for manufacturing production in alignment with forecast (demand plan) and operational opportunities and constraints• Executes the purchase of inventory items using defined supply chain practices, and issues and maintains master data, informational records and purchase orders for assigned materials• Ensures all material requirements for assigned purchased materials and items are covered with Purchase Orders, Contracts and/or Supplier Agreements • Ability to negotiate pricing and quantities for inventory items as governed by the relevant SOP's and product specifications • Maintains and monitors inventory levels to best support production without carrying excess inventory and assures that all inventory items required for production are delivered on schedule• Maintains accurate data for planning and purchasing within SAP • All other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience for the Position:

• Education: BS/BA degree or equivalent. • Experience: Minimum of one year of supply chain or manufacturing experienceManagement has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.

Travel Requirements: 

  • Up to 5% of the time

The annual salary range Werfen reasonably expects to pay for the position is $65,000 to $80,000.  Compensation is reasonably based upon multiple factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and specific needs of the business.
