Job Summary

To cover the maternity leave of one of our workers, we are hiring a Technical Sales Specialist to develop sales in the territory by promoting all products available in our division portfolio. This position requires developing strong relationships with customers and good communication with all areas while simultaneously following the marketing actions provided by headquarters for the actual portfolio.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for sales in the territory
  • Maintains the assigned budget
  • Promotes and sells to customers Werfen´s full portfolio
  • Prepares visits to customers and coordinates with headquarter any support needed
  • Provides technical training to customers showing how to use our products
  • Gives presentations to customers
  • Understands advantages and disadvantages of Werfen´s portfolio to better position ourselves against competitors
  • Maintains regular communications with our staff on any problem or advantage related to our portfolio or related to our competitors
  • Resolves conflicts/problems that arise with customers
  • Provides regular information related to open and future possibilities (those to be closed within 12 months)
  • Aware of new tenders to be published in the next months
  • Maintains a great network of valuable customers
  • Ensures compliance with Werfen Code of Ethics

Networking/Key relationships

To be determined based on department needs, to include interactions such as:

  • Sales Manager
  • Technical service
  • Contracting Department
  • Other company departments (mainly Operations and Logistics)

 

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

  • Education: Degree in health, medical sciences or related
  • Experience:
  • Previous sales experience
  • Previous work experience in medical devices business is valued (in the same clinical area and same commercial area would be a plus)
  • Demonstrated experience and a track record of success in sales of medical devices products
  • Additional Skills/Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of main areas of business
  • Language: Fluency in Portuguese and English is a must, Spanish is a plus
  • Computer skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Travel requirements:

  • Up to 10% - 50% of time
