About the Position
Job Summary
Under direction of the Area Service Manager, develops customer satisfaction through technical
repair, installation, training, operation, and maintenance of Werfen´s instruments and systems.
Position may have a specific assigned territory or system population or may be a position to
cover other assigned territories as needed under the direction of the Area Service Manager.
Key Accountabilities
· Provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installations and necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service and repair of complex instruments and systems.
· Performs routine and some non-routine technical repairs of all systems; this includes updates, retrofits, PMs and product enhancements.
· Instructs customers in the proper operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the instruments and systems.
· Complies with all appropriate regulatory bodies, mandated policies, procedures, work instructions, and records.
· Serves as a company liaison with customers.
· Responsible for routine interaction with sales counterparts with respect to customer situations, updates, and lead generations.
· Assures financial stability and viability of territory by promoting and selling service agreements, PMs, and other services.
· Ensures compliance with Werfen Code of Ethics.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the TS Manager

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
· Education: BA or BS in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology or related field
· Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience
Additional Skills/Knowledge:
· At least basic MS Office Skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) including the ability to manipulate data and build presentations
· Language: English 60% (B1)

Work Environment (US only):
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate. Must be able to detect, identify and inspect scientific data. The employee will be required to stand and/or walk up to 8 hours per day and/or sit for up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to use hands to feel objects, including keyboard, telephone and pipettes or other lab equipment. May need to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch. Will be required to talk and hear and have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May occasionally have to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment will vary but is usually moderate. This position is very active and requires varying levels of mobility.
